Das Projekt

Voluntary service is a unique cross cultural experience program that connects people from around the world with local communities in Tanzania. The program offers a powerful vision built on our belief that volunteers and local communities have a vital role to play in development and in building a more just and sustainable world community. The program provides opportunities to experience different cultures, meet people from different countries, learn new or improve skills, take part in peace making and hands-on on various community development projects. It is an exceptional option for people to gain experience in service projects and increase understanding in world’s issues. Voluntary service management project is aiming to increased quality, visibility and accessibility for more volunteers from Tanzania and foreign countries to join.

Die Aufgaben der*des Freiwilligen

Volunteer will be responsible with the following activities: -
a) Proactively develop and maintain professional networks and relationships to achieve volunteer recruitment targets within nominated deadlines.
b) Write accurate project descriptions using approved style and template highlighting key information to market UVIKIUTA project and programs
c) Prepare marketing material (PowerPoint presentations, expo displays, posters/fliers) using approved templates to promote UVIKIUTA projects and recruit volunteers.
d) Conduct regular Volunteer Information Sessions to recruit local volunteers and promote UVIKIUTA programs.
e) Generate regular updates (at least weekly) for UVIKIUTA social media team, including short stories and accompanying photographs.
f) Participating in International work camps as co-leader.

Anforderungen

  • You are energetic, inventive and hard working with ideas about creative ways to engage audiences in achieving the organization’s mission.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, the knowledge of Interest to learn Kiswahili is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms.
  • A commitment to professional ethics and abilities to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team of multicultural individuals.
  • Affinity with Graphic design platforms and Website content management system is a plus.

Einsatzort:

Vigoa is a community in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam city. The community is located about 25km from the city center. All the basic needs can be found easily including grocery market, financial institution, hospitals, Police etc. It is one of the expanding areas due the high immigration of people to create settlement. The community is considered safe with very welcoming people.
