The school project phase of this opportunity will take place from the 13th of May till 14th of
July 2026. SCI Germany is looking for an ESC-volunteer who is well motivated to
accompany an international group of 10-12 volunteers from countries in Africa, Asia and
South America. The School Project itself is divided into three parts: a welcome seminar to
get to know the group, a training seminar to develop workshops and the school workshops.

• During the first six days the volunteers participate in a welcome seminar. It’s all
  about getting to know the group and learn some basic about Germany.
• In the next fourteen days the volunteers participate in a training seminar and
  exchange knowledge, ideas and opinions on the topic of climate change, and its
  connection with classism. A team of two trainers will give input and support the
  participants to design their own workshops in small groups.
• During the third part of the project the participants will present their workshops (3 to
  4 hours long) at 18-22 different schools (pupils 14 to 18 years old). The group will
  stay in a group accommodation where everyone is responsible for cooking and
  cleaning.

You will accompany the group to the schools and may/will also take active part in carrying
out the workshops. Together with a camp leader from Germany, and with professional
support and guidance from the SCI office, you are responsible for the organisational
framework and the organisation of everyday life and leisure activities, in which you will also
be supported by local volunteers. You will be a contact person for the volunteers, trainers
and schools and cooperate with the SCI office. For sure, you will have free time as well.
